Nomiya Izakaya

There were quite a lot of people when we arrived, so we had to queue for a bit. We were seated al fresco, which was fine, though the table was a bit dusty and could’ve been cleaner. We ordered quite a spread: • Salmon aburi maki – rich and flavorful, with buttery torched salmon and great texture from the toppings. • Ebi tantan ramen – creamy, mildly spicy broth with tender noodles and well-cooked shrimp; comforting and full of flavor. • Pork belly yakitori – juicy, smoky, and nicely caramelized. • Beef belly yaki – tender, well-seasoned, and full of deep, rich flavor. • Chicken liver yaki – slightly charred outside, soft inside, and bold in taste. The food overall was really good, and the service was friendly. Special mention to Rose Ann, who took good care of us. Payment was convenient—we paid by card, but GCash and cash were also accepted. Parking is limited, so keep that in mind if you’re driving. Overall, worth the visit for the food and service. A quick cleanup of the outdoor tables would make the experience even better.

Been wanting to try this place since it was recommended to me a while back. I heard the place was really small so we made a reservation but it seems to have some more space now! For small groups of people it should be easy to find seating, though there are almost no parking spaces. We ordered the recommended Magic Mushrooms and Salmon Aburi Sushi, and added the Gyudon (wasn’t able to get a photo) and the Miso Buttercorn Ramen. All the food was good! The mushrooms are addictive, the salmon is good (though the colors I feel taste the same), the ramen is delicious and the broth is tasty, and the gyudon is really delicious as well. Loved how it had mushrooms in it too. The serving sizes are all pretty big and we even had to take food home. Definitely want to come back.

We were looking for a japanese restaurant and came across Nomiya by chance. Our dinner was pleasant and I think there's a lot of value for money here, compared to Japanese restaurants in malls. The Salmon Aburi maki was good, spicy tuna salad was very generous in tuna and yummy! Not in picture, an oyakodon with miso soup, and matcha ice cream with red bean. We arrived past 5pm and we were first there, and the place was filled quite quickly. I like the casual ambiance and the service was fast. I paid via credit card. We were able to do street-side parking right beside the restaurant.
